Keep your organization’s information accurate—what you update here may be shared with donors and disbursement partners.
Your organization legal name, EIN, website, and address are initially sourced from the IRS, but the latter two fields can be updated in your Chariot dashboard by account Owners or Admins. You can also update your organization's Preferred name and Logo directly in the Chariot dashboard.
This information is used externally by Chariot’s Disbursement partners and in some cases may appear on donation-facing tools (e.g., DAFpay donation receipts or grant confirmations). Keeping this information accurate ensures your nonprofit is clearly represented and easy to verify.
Your organization logo is shown on donor-facing features like DAFpay and may be included in reports or dashboards used by Disbursement Partners. Uploading a clear, up-to-date logo helps strengthen your nonprofit’s visual identity and credibility.
Your Preferred Name is the name that will appear externally to donors across Chariot’s products, including DAFpay. It’s similar to a “Doing Business As” (DBA) name and is useful if your organization commonly goes by a different name than what’s listed with the IRS.
👤 Profile Settings
Each user can manage their own login and security credentials under Profile Settings.
You can update your password and choose your two-factor authentication (2FA) method.
2FA is required for all account holders and supports either an authenticator app or a phone number.
Your email address cannot be changed once the account is created. If your email changes, you’ll need to create a new account and invite the new user to join your organization’s existing Chariot account.
📱Two-Factor Authentication
To enhance security, all Chariot nonprofit users must enable two-factor authentication (TFA). This ensures only authorized team members can access your account.

You can choose one of two methods:
Option 1: Authenticator App (Recommended) Select “Authenticator App” to scan a QR code using an app like Google Authenticator, Apple Passwords, 1Password, or Authy.
Option 2: Text Message Enter your phone number to receive a verification code via text.
If you have trouble with TFA, contact us at [email protected].
