Payment Sources are entities that send donations or grant funds to your nonprofit — from donor-advised fund sponsors to grantmaking platforms and individual foundations.

This article explains how to receive all payments and gift data from any Payment Source in your Chariot account—not just DAFpay gifts.

⚡ Default Payment Sources

Payment Sources with a lighting icon in your dashboard are ones that use Disbursements to automatically send funds and gift details directly to your Chariot account. This means that all donations from that Source are delivered electronically through Chariot and automatically appear in your dashboard.

This simplifies your gift tracking, improves visibility, and centralizes your disbursement data.

These Payment Sources are automatically enabled upon onboarding, and are set up to send grants electronically for all Chariot Deposit Account holders.

These Payment Sources aren’t enabled automatically, but you can still connect them to your Chariot account. Once linked, their donations will flow directly into your Chariot dashboard, just like Default Payment Sources.
