If your nonprofit doesn’t appear during the Nonprofit / EIN selection process, it means you are not currently in Chariot’s verified database of DAF-eligible organizations.


🔍 What to Do If You’re Not Listed

If no results are returned:

  1. Click “Onboard Manually” to submit a request to be added.

  2. Provide your organization name, EIN, and address.

  3. Once submitted, you’ll be added to our database in a pending state and prompted to proceed with Chariot’s compliance verification process.


📝 Additional Questions During Verification

As part of the Compliance Verification process, we’ll ask a few extra questions about your tax-exempt status, specifically:

  • Are you a Religious Organization, New Organization, or Other Tax-Exempt Entity?

  • If you are a Religious Organization:

    • Do you fall under a Group Exemption Ruling?

    • Or are you an Independent Religious Organization?


✅ What Happens Next

  • Once you submit your compliance verification, our team will review and complete due diligence to get you added.

  • When approved, your organization will become DAF-eligible in Chariot’s verified database, enabling faster and more secure grant payments from our partners.


📬 If You Received an Email About a Disbursement Partner Invite

Sometimes, organizations receive emails from Chariot notifying them that a Disbursement Partner is trying to send a grant — but the organization isn’t yet in our database.

To receive that payment (and future ones electronically), follow the same steps above to manually onboard and complete verification.
